Service Engineering Technician

The Service Engineering Technician performs diagnostics and repairs of internal and external systems, supports systems for internal NorthStar use by Customer Service, Engineering, Science, etc., provides support to the Customer Contact Center, and may provide support to NorthStar systems at customer locations as required. The CST will work to diagnose issues with parts and systems and will establish and implement action plans to resolve these issues. Once developed, they will remain committed to drive the plan through the appropriate channels until all issues are resolved. Work schedules are determined by a combination of, but not limited to, Production, Customer Service, Science, and Engineering needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess complex problems, collect data, establish facts, and work within established guidelines and procedures to complete system diagnostics, refurbishments, repairs, etc.
- Assist in developing troubleshooting methods and action plans to address various issues with parts and systems that can be used internally and in the field.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of manufacturing, production, diagnostics and refurbishment, and service documentation in conjunction with appropriate teams.
- Assist in the training of Production, Manufacturing, Service, and Contact Center personnel, as required.
- Assist in the identification, development, documentation, and testing of service tools as well as design updates to the product.
Two-year technical degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment, analysis, troubleshooting, testing, and repair are required. Experience with radioactivity preferred, but not required.
NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes is headquartered in Beloit, Wis. This location is our primary manufacturing site and accommodates all of our corporate functions. Beloit has small city charm, with a lively and renovated downtown, yet is also close to cities such as Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, and Rockford.
