The Equipment Engineering Technician will support the installation, start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance management of isotope manufacturing process equipment at NorthStar’s Beloit facilities.  This position will work with Process Development Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities Engineering, and Maintenance personnel to provide continuity through the onboarding process of select process equipment, including training activities.  In addition, collaboration with contractors will be required, acting as the NMR site contact on occasion.  This position will be required to become a subject matter expert (SME) for the process equipment assigned.  This position will also provide input on the selection and procurement of critical spare parts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in FAT and SAT activities as required, completing documentation as applicable
  • Point of contact for contractors per NMR policies (provide more detail)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Assist with the as-built drawing process.
  • Maintain meticulous notes related to the installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning of process equipment.
  • Process Equipment Training support.


Associate or Bachelor Technical Degree in a related field and five or more years of experience within an FDA regulated manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with process equipment and controls required.
