The Manufacturing Test Systems Engineer will participate in the specification, design, procurement, construction, qualification, and maintenance of the NorthStar manufacturing test systems.
This position requires a hands on engineer that will participate and sometimes lead the design including Electric, Mechanical, Software and verification of these test system fixtures.
This position will be working within the cGMP space and must be able to properly document and execute all activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, Build and maintain manufacturing test system following all applicable NorthStar GMP documentation requirements.
- Personally develop test systems including hardware, software and mechanical in support of company needs including development of detailed documentation meeting FDA cGMP regulations. Testers will include Spectrophotometry measurements, Circuit Board Test, Pressure, Vacuum, Weight/Density, and final automated functional test of complex medical electromechanical instruments.
- Develop of specifications/requirements for new manufacturing test equipment
- Identify and propose improvements to test systems. Work with engineering staff to develop and evaluate designs.
- Draft and execute qualifications (IQOQPQ) of manufacturing test systems.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college including course work and experience in at least two of the following disciplines (Electronics, Software, and Mechanical design). Experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Direct experience design and fabrication of electrical and electromechanical systems is preferred.
NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes is headquartered in Beloit, Wis. This location is our primary manufacturing site and accommodates all of our corporate functions.
