Nuclear Pharmacist

Position

The Nuclear Pharmacist will handle radioactive materials within the general scope of nuclear medicine. This position takes care of various aspects such as receipt of the material, usage, and proper disposal of these materials in accordance with company policies, state, and/or federal guidelines. This individual will participate in direct customer service and work within the company to recommend, assist with, and support product development.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Nuclear Pharmacist will handle radioactive materials within the general scope of nuclear medicine.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of radiopharmaceutical compounding and dispensing procedures.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for technical support and field service on pharmacy related issues
  • Participate in direct customer service and work within the company to recommend, assist with, and support product development.
  • Stay current on nuclear pharmacy regulations and requirements.
  • Oversee employees in radiation laboratories and assist in training.  Provide excellent mentorship.
  • Mathematical skills, reasoning ability, ability read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals are important aspects of this position.

Qualifications

Pharm D or similar training with two or more years of experience as a nuclear pharmacist is required.  Board Certified Nuclear Pharmacist (BCNP) credential is preferred.
