The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the product design, development and commercialization of medical device products that facilitate safe drug preparation and delivery. The individual will join the Product Development team and contribute (as well as occasionally lead) to design and development activities focused on identifying, developing and implementing solutions to support the current and future product portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Using Solid Works software, create and modify complex product assemblies based on product manufacturing needs & test and production tooling factors.
- Work with a variety of vendors, particularly sheet metal, plastic, and machine shops to develop high quality and cost effective product designs
- Deliver engineering solutions in response to development, hardware, manufacturing, and operational needs
- Perform detailed mechanical design and analysis of simpler precision components from a variety of materials and production processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4 or more years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some demonstrated experience with the Product Development Life Cycle ranging from product specification and concept development to product release. Experience with plastic part design and processing technologies.
